Green Kukicha/Karigane Tea

Karigane in Japanese means “cry of the wild goose”. Kukicha is a blend of sencha tea leaves lightly shade grown with the tea leaf stems added.  The stems lighten the tea imparting a rounded smoothness and low astringency. With its light nutty rice flavor it pairs well with green vegetables, salads, light seafood stews, shrimp, scallops, and shell fish.
